Dear Board Member:
I am requesting the community general level ledger expenses (transaction detail) for FY 2011, 2012 and 2013 as well as FY 2014. Previous requests on my husband's part have been replied to positively by both Mr. Ryder and his predecessor Tom Wade. I'm attaching a page of a previous year information provided to me by the current general manager Ken Ryder.
I am also requesting that you obtain independent ECA legal counsel opinion on Mr. Ryder's stated reason for rejecting my request on August 11, 2014.
In Mr. Ryder's response to my email request he stated:
"The general ledger information you have requested contains micro transactional level detail to include personal financial information for Eastman property owners. As a result, I cannot release the general ledger information as it would violate privacy policy."
Unfortunately, Mr. Ryder has failed to respond my explicit request also of Aug 11th.
It is my understanding that this information is made available to members of a 501(c) 4 upon request as has been done in the past. I would assume refusal to comply with federal law would be inappropriate and therefore not beneficial to Eastman members, however if Mr. Ryder is acting on the directions of the Eastman Board then the independent legal opinion I have requested would be required.
