Take the Pledge

We advocate that ALL Council and Board Members take the PLEDGE:

1)    A Direct Vote by all eligible community members will be held on any capital expense exceeding $1 million.
2)    There will be Equal Council member representation for all Eastman members (i.e. Equal Districts).
3)    In order to implement “transparency”, Council Reps must commit to voting and implementing a Covenant change that requires Eastman governance members to conform to RSA 91-A, which is the New Hampshire Right to Know Law.
4)    All NEW Debt will be directly voted for by all eligible members.

To achieve fulfillment of this pledge we recommend that residents take the following steps:

1)    Demand that Council and Board Members take the Pledge
2)    Demand the immediate resignation of ANY Governance Member who will not take the Pledge

We are advocating this pledge to restore Governance fiscal and decision accountability to the Eastman Community Members. It is OUR money and OUR community.  The Pledge will implement open, accountable,  and transparent governance at Eastman.

The PLEDGE is GOOD ECA GOVERNANCE. The time has come to demand that ECA Governance members take the PLEDGE. For more details go to the 7/1/14 posting A CALL FOR EASTMAN GOVERNANCE CHANGEclick here

SPECIAL MESSAGE to Governance Members of  “Eastman Members For Governance Reform”:

  1. Any member that is tied to cost of living adjustment does not have a favorable outcome when we have increased over 12% every year since 2008' Lets get reasonable here.
